“A gifted singer and actor.” –The New York Times

It’s about time you get to know Jed Resnick. Currently appearing in Avenue Q at New World Stages, this “entirely charming” performer is stepping into the spotlight for his solo debut at 54 Below. You’re in for an evening of song, featuring rock & pop covers, re-imagined show tunes, and even some original work, as Jed shares stories of his journey to, off, and under Broadway.

While still attending Brown University, Jed landed the role of Mark Cohen in Jonathan Larson’s Rent. He went on to appear on Broadway and the Broadway National Tours of Avenue Q and Rent, regionally in The Last Five Years, Pregnancy Pact, …Charlie Brown, and Little Women, as well as in numerous other productions and cabarets here in New York City.

So what’s it all about? “Well, it’s about time!” says his mother.

Jed will be joined on stage by some dear friends from his camp days at Stagedoor Manor, Etai Benson (Wicked), Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge…), Dana Steingold (Spelling Bee), Liana Stampur (Broadway Stands Up For Freedom) and Zac Young (“Top Chef: Just Desserts”, “Unique Sweets”); from Avenue Q, husband and wife Rob McClure (Honeymoon in Vegas, Chaplin) and Maggie Lakis (Because of Winn-Dixie); and from the early days of his career, Christine Dwyer (Rent, Wicked); Onyie (Rent) and Allison Posner (Volleygirls). The evening will be directed by Michael Perlman, with music supervision and arrangements by Brian Nash, and is produced by Erica Rotstein and Dana Gitlin.
