Luke Hawkins is a NYC based tap dancer, performer and choreographer. He has appeared on Broadway in Xanadu, Cirque du Soleil’s productions of Banana Shpeel and Joya, and the Coen Brother’s movie Hail Caesar. His TV credits include “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” “The Colbert Report,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The 2015 Tony Awards,” “The Jerry Lewis Telethon,” “One Life to Live and Gossip Girl.” He was also in New York City Center Encores’ productions of No No Nanette, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and On Your Toes. He as appeared regionally in leading roles such as Ren in Footloose, Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain, Bill Calhoun in Kiss me Kate, Robert Martin in The Drowsy Chaperone, Bert in Mary Poppins, Huckleberry Finn in Big River, Tulsa in Gypsy as well as Action in the international tour of West Side Story. Luke was assistant to Sergio Trujillo choreographing the tap number in the La Jolla production of Chasing the Song, is on choreography faculty at The Broadway Dreams Foundation and is the co-owner with his mother of The Hawkins School of Performing Arts in Folsom California as well as the co-artistic director of The Hawkins Tap Company. He has toured China three times, tap dancing with The Manhattan Symphonie, DC and Ohio with The American Pops orchestra and most recently with Harry Connick Jr. and his big band up the East Coast of The United States. Luke was Mr. New York 2012, a Capezio Athlete and, and he is a proud member of SAG/AFTRA/AGVA and Actor’s Equity.
