COVID-19 Safety Information For Visitors
Feinstein’s/54 Below is excited to welcome artists, staff, and audiences back to “Broadway’s Living Room.”
We are committed to providing an unforgettable experience for all guests, staff and artists in a safe and healthy environment. To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, we have developed a COVID-19 Safety Plan, which follows the most current guidelines of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the New York State Department of Health and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) related to COVID-19. We’re also grateful to the restaurant community in their sharing of wisdom and best practices.
Please note that all guidelines and policies are subject to change in accordance with government mandates.
In addition to creating new policies to make our guests, performers and staff safer when visiting our space, we have made some physical modifications to our venue. Please download the full Safety Plan here.
Below are some of the basic safety measures we will be implementing:
We require all those entering the club provide proof of vaccination at the door. Proof of Vaccination can be your actual card, a photo of your card, the Excelsior Pass, or proof provided by a foreign government.
Under current government and CDC regulations, venues which require vaccinations and have a capacity of under two-hundred-fifty are permitted to relax mask enforcement and social distancing rules. However, out of an abundance of caution, we have reduced the number of tables to minimize crowding and staff will be required to remain masked at all times. Guests are welcome to wear a mask.
Additionally, unrelated parties will not be seated together at this time.
If any of our guests are prohibited from receiving the COVID-19 vaccine for legitimate medical reasons, box office staff must be notified at the time of ticket purchase. In compliance with ADA regulations, accommodations that follow government and CDC safety guidelines will be made. Those who are prohibited from receiving the COVID-19 vaccine for legitimate medical reasons must provide a viable doctor’s note and present proof of a negative PCR/NAAT test taken within seventy-two hours of the performance or proof of a negative antigen test taken within six hours of the performance. Per government and CDC guidelines, unvaccinated guests will be required to remain masked when not seated at their table and maintain a six-foot distance from surrounding patrons. Please contact the box office directly for further instruction by calling 646-476-3551.
Those who have not made accommodations with management in advance will not be permitted entry without proof of vaccination at the door.
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
In consultation with our Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) experts, we have worked to find the best solution for our space to meet government requirements for indoor dining. Our venue has two Aerus Pure and Clean oxidation and ionization units. Utilizing high intensity UVC light, these units are proven to remove airborne and surface contaminants.
Air circulation has been modified to ensure an exchange of inside and outside air.
Hand Sanitizing Stations
Hand sanitizer dispensers with a sixty percent or greater alcohol content have been installed in our entrances, outside restrooms and several other locations on our premises. These will be maintained by the sanitation attendant on duty.
As we require proof of vaccination for all guests, artists and staff, we are permitted by government and CDC regulations to operate at full capacity with our traditional cabaret-style seating. However, out of an abundance of caution, we have decreased the number of tables to allow for more a more comfortable guest experience.
Additionally, unrelated parties will not be seated together.
We have installed Lucite safety barriers between certain seating areas in the dining room to keep our guests safe. These barriers will be cleaned and sanitized before, between and after every performance.
Signs have been posted inside the restrooms reminding guests of proper handwashing procedures.
When purchasing tickets through our website or via the phone, guests must reserve a specific arrival time. There will be a limited number of reservations taken for each arrival time for the safety and comfort of our patrons and to eliminate crowding in the stairwell and lobby. Reservations for both the 7:00 pm and 9:45 pm shows will be in fifteen-minute increments.
Reservations for the 7:00 pm show will begin at 5:30 pm, with the last reservations at 6:30 pm. Reservations for the 9:45 pm show will begin at 9:00 pm, with the last reservation at 9:30 pm.
Doors for the later show will not open until 9:00 pm, allowing the staff time to sanitize the club between shows.
Walk-ins will only be accepted at the discretion of management.
Arriving for a Show
Guests should arrive at the club between five and ten minutes, but not more than fifteen minutes, prior to their reservation. Management will make special accommodations for guests with disabilities who may need more time to enter the club. If possible, we request that guests notify the box office of any such need for special assistance at the time of ticket purchase by calling 646-476-3551.
Guests who have exhibited any of the symptoms of COVID-19 within seventy-two hours of their reservation must call our box office at 646-476-3551 for help rescheduling tickets.
One guest per party must complete the contract tracing form, and all guests entering must be able to provide proof of vaccination.
Guests will be offered hand sanitizer and an optional complimentary mask before being admitted to the venue. Guests will proceed to check-in with the Maître d’ and be shown to their table.
While our vaccination policy allows our venue to operate at 100% capacity without mask enforcement, we will continue to have a reduced number of tables to minimize crowding and require our staff to remain masked at all times. Our typical seating plan holds 150 patrons, but we are currently only seating 100 guests per show.
Feinstein’s/54 Below encourages all guests to download a digital copy of the menu to their personal electronic devices/phones. The menu will be easily accessible from the Feinstein’s/54 Below website and updated daily to reflect any specials. A link to the menu will be emailed to guests upon purchase of tickets and included in the reminder sent twenty-four hours prior to their visit. This link will also be posted at the club entrance, in addition to a QR code.
Single-use disposable menus will be available for guests who are unable to download or use electronic menus.
Guests who do not wish to dine in the club may order items to-go to fulfill the $25 food and beverage minimum and enjoy their meal at home.
While not required, guests are welcome to wear a mask while inside the venue.
Staff will continue to wear masks.
Masks must be worn in public spaces shared by the building, including the elevator.
Unfortunately, at this time, coat check facilities will not be available. Guests are discouraged from bringing large personal items or bags with them to the club. There will be ample space for coats on the backs of chairs because of reduced seating capacity. We request that guests notify management of any accommodations needed in advance by calling our box office at 646-476-3551.
Artist Meet and Greets
At this point in time, we are unable to facilitate artist Meet and Greets or pass along gifts to artists.
A certified COVID-19 Safety Manager will be on premises at all times, responsible for maintaining and enforcing the enhanced safety procedures. Guests not complying with safety guidelines will be asked to leave the club.
