Don’t miss this one-night-only celebration of a lost Broadway gem, featuring several of its original cast members.
Shakespearean farce meets Middle Eastern musical comedy in Oh, Brother! at Feinstein’s/54 Below! This concert performance of the Donald Driver/Michael Valenti cult musical will get your toes tapping. The updating of Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors set in the Persian Gulf circa the modern era had audiences rolling in the aisles on Broadway – sadly, it closed after three performances. Backstage’s Roy Sander says, “Its commercial failure on Broadway in 1981 is one of the great injustices in theatrical history.”
Now you can experience a part of that Broadway history, complete with original cast members! Produced and directed by Mark Falconer, with musical direction by Will Buck.
