Ovation Award-nominated actor/composer, and star of the off-Broadway hit musical Murder for Two, Brett Ryback comes to 54 Below with Songs I Wrote, a night featuring his work as a composer/lyricist.

He teams up with an incredible cast of Broadway talent to present highlights from his eclectic songbook, including the premiere performances of songs from his latest musical Joe Schmoe Saves the World. Performers are set to include Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Zorro), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Alex Brightman (Big Fish, Wicked), Janet Krupin (If/Then, Bring It On), Dakin Matthews (ROCKY), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie & Clyde), Mary Kate Morrissey (Hair, US Tour), Justin Matthew Sargent (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Rock of Ages), Melissa van der Schyff (Bonnie and Clyde), and more.

Brett wrote the book for the musical Darling, which recently won the Weston Playhouse’s New Musical Award and was featured on NBC’s “The Apprentice.” He contributed work to the webseries “The Battery’s Down,” and his songs were featured in William Finn’s “Ridiculously Talented Composers and Lyricists…” concerts at Barrington Stage and 54 Below. He won the Tennessee Williams One-Act Competition and was a finalist for the Richard Rodgers Award. His musical Liberty Inn: The Musical was nominated for two LA Ovation Awards (Best Music/Lyrics and Best Book.)
