Scott Siegel Presents… Cry: A Sad Song Marathon

We’ve traveled the world for the songs that make you weep! From “If You Go Away,” to “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables,” and from “But Not For Me,” to (of course), Johnny Ray’s “Cry.” Broadway, Hollywood, country, pop, blues…from everywhere (even France); anything and everything that brings a tear to the eye. You might even hear “Patches.” Here, finally, is the show that lets you — encourages you — to cry in your beer. Come be miserable with us and hear some of the greatest sad songs ever written, performed by a cast of brilliant Broadway actors and nightclub stars who feel your pain!

Cry is the creation of New York impresario Scott Siegel, who has written, directed, and produced concerts for Michael Feinstein, as well as produced more than 300 major concerts all over the world. He is perhaps best known as the creator/writer/director and host of Town Hall’s signature series, Broadway by the Year, which recently concluded its record-breaking 17th critically acclaimed season. At Feinstein’s/54 Below, he is the creator of the long-running hit series, 54 Sings Broadway’s Greatest Hits, as well as scores of other popular concert events.

Featuring:

Emma Hunton (Spring Awakening, The Mad Ones)
