March 1 - 3, 2018
Join us for a very special Feinstein’s/54 Below engagement: Desmond Child in his first New York appearance since his club days at Reno Sweeney and The Bottom Line. The singer/songwriter has written hits for everyone from Bon Jovi to Aerosmith, from Ricky Martin to Katy Perry. He has even written for KISS, Cher, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Michael Bolton, and more. Now, in a show being put together by longtime friend, director Richard Jay-Alexander, Desmond will present an up-close look at this legendary music. You’ll hear and see your life flash before you!
Expect more TOP 40 hits than you’ll hear or see anywhere … performed by the guy who wrote them. From “Livin’ On A Prayer” to “Dude Looks Like A Lady” to “Livin’ La Vida Loca”, Desmond’s songs have become part of our lives. Desmond has sold over 500 million records worldwide. Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2008, he later co-founded the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame with fellow Cuban-American composer/producer Rudy Perez.
Expect a hot night of music and some stories you won’t hear anywhere else, but on the stage at Feinstein’s/ 54 Below. Desmond will even welcome some musical guests and debut songs from his upcoming Broadway musical, Cuba Libre, written with Davitt Sigerson and being produced by Dodger Theatricals, to be directed by George C. Wolfe. And did we mention there will be a Desmond Child & Rouge reunion (with Maria Vidal, Diana Grasselli, & Myriam Valle) ? Yup …. The Capitol Records alums will be doing “Our Love Insane”! Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime engagement.
