New York City Gay Men’s Chorus Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary Season
June 19, 2020
Forty & Fabulous: A Ruby Red Affair
Join members of the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus this pride season as they raise a glass, and their voices, to celebrate the chorus’ 40th anniversary season. Upon its creation in 1980, the NYCMGC established itself as a pillar of strength for the NYC queer community amidst the turbulence of the 80’s. Singing songs from the decade that started it all, chorus members will also share their stories and reflect on their love for the organization that has spanned four decades. Mama Mela hosts the semiannual benefit cabaret and proceeds will benefit the NYCGMC, in hopes of continuing its mission for another forty years and beyond!
