“You Got Good Time, Baby!” The swinging jazz pianist Erroll Garner sat at the piano bar and said the above to Renee Raff as she played and sang in Jillys. And Errol Garner was right!
Now at Feinstein’s 54 Below, Renee Raff and Jay Leonhart will celebrate their five years of collaboration by teaming up with the extraordinary Ken Peplowski on clarinet for an evening of classic American songs. Ken Peplowski is widely recognized as one of the greatest jazz clarinetists in the world.
As directed and accompanied by the legendary Mr. Leonhart, this dynamic duo (plus one) will present their unique and joyous versions of the American Songbook. They will rhapsodize upon such diverse gems as “I’m Old Fashioned” and Nat Cole’s “Frim Fram Sauce.” Coming on the eve of a big birthday for Renee, this is a must see performance for her friends, fans and, and New Yorkers alike. It will certainly be a “Good Time, Baby!”
