New York Innovative Theater Award nominee Christian De Gré Cárdenas returns to 54 Below with a dark and twisted, unsettling and hilarious, brand new song cycle exploring two centuries of perplexing relations between his native Mexico and the Good Ol’ States of ‘Merica. Starring a macabre mix of Broadway veterans, opera stalwarts, mariachis, and Mind The Art all stars, the evening features never before seen material from his new stop-motion-animated Mexican-American War operetta 1848 and select highlights from the award winning musical comedy Beware The Chupacabra and the gleefully morbid critically acclaimed cabaret A Drink With Death.
